Heinrich Schütz was known as the most important German composer preceding Bach. His music influenced many other composers, and he blended Germanic and Italianate styles in his works. TENET is keeping it real by reprogramming Schütz's beloved Musikalische Exequien, one of his best known and most beautiful works for the Lenten season, making it a perfect tribute to honor of the 350th anniversary of his death.
