Musica Transalpina
Enjoy scintillating concerti by rarely heard 18th-c. Italian composers active in German cities. German scholarship of the 20th c. focused on native artists, omitting talented Italian musicians who crossed the Alps. This program highlights Brescianello from Bologna, active in Stuttgart, Dall’Abaco from Verona, who worked in Munich, and Platti of Padua, who spent his career in Würzburg.
