A new offering in the Bloomington Early Music Festival, the "Best Recital" competition seeks to further the careers of future Early Music performers by offering the winner a $1,000 cash award and a prominent presentation during the festival. Winners are selected by the faculty of the EMI and are selected from recitals given during the past academic year.

Over years many important performers of Early Music have emerged from the EMI. BLEMF is pleased to collaborate with the EMI to recognize the outstanding talent and performances of these emerging artists.
